Accessibility Statement
the site with accessibility in mind and aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines.
What we’re doing
-
Standards: We design, build, and review against WCAG 2.2 AA.
-
Inclusive design: Clear language, meaningful link text, logical headings, and form labels.
-
Keyboard access: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard.
-
Color & contrast: We use high-contrast palettes and avoid color-only communication.
-
Images & media: Alt text for meaningful images; captions/transcripts for key videos.
-
Reduced motion: We avoid motion where possible and respect users’ “prefers-reduced-motion” settings.
-
Structure & code: Semantic HTML, ARIA where appropriate, and accessible names/roles/states.
-
Continuous improvement: We audit with tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse) and real-user testing.
Known limitations (in progress)
-
User-generated content (UGC): Stories and images submitted by community members may arrive without perfect alt text or captions. We provide guidance and may add editor’s notes where feasible.
-
Third-party embeds: Some services (e.g., Instagram feeds, payment/fulfillment and video players) have their own accessibility constraints. We select accessible options when available and provide alternatives where practical.
-
Legacy files: Occasional PDFs or downloads may not yet be fully accessible; accessible versions are available on request.
If you encounter an issue, please tell us—we’ll prioritize a fix and offer an alternative format.
